Give the gift of reading

Jeremy met with more than 200 people in the five worst-off counties in America. Doctors, teachers, mayors, and pastors. Parents who had lost children to opioids, coal miners living with black lung, farm workers earnings minimum wage, and veterans who had lost their homes.

In every county, I visited a local library with bare shelves. They were hubs of activity as people tried to apply to jobs, find social safety net resources, and get a break from the unbearable heat. I'm partnering with Worthy Books to donate books to help fill those shelves so that hopefully some children may find some inspiration in these pages and help these communities find a path to upward mobility.
